Interesting Trends In Celebrity Twitter Accounts

I was interested tonight in a tweet by @TheEllenShow trying to push to 500,000 followers on twitter.
Wow, half a million.  Really impressive.
But wait.  The account has only been active since August of 2008.  Roughly, that is adding 2000 people a day.
So I poked around a bit.  Interesting findings.
