Trip Report: Rafting the Grand Canyon

The wonders of the Grand Canyon cannot be adequately represented in symbols of speech, nor by speech itself. The resources of the graphic art are taxed beyond their powers in attempting to portray its features. Language and illustration combined must fail.

I don’t have many rules in life but one mainstay is never turn down an opportunity to raft the Grand Canyon. Timmy O’Neill mentioned that he was part of a trip with the Kirby family in a few weeks and they might have a spot. Another rule in life is to do any adventure Timmy suggests (“are you living life right now”). With tech and startups it is easy to get head down and not remember simple life rules like this.

My 2nd time down the Grand Canyon on a funny boat. A chose to just shoot in black and white and also to keep my camera away and spend the time meeting new friends and staring, in awe, at the Canyon. This trip was a shorter one from Lees Ferry to Phantom Ranch with a hike out in a hail storm on the Bright Angel Trail.

Stunning beauty is the only way to put it.
