The Cult of Done

Bre Pettis, who is firmly in the ‘guy I’m glad I know’ category, wrote “The Cult of Done Manifesto” on his blog a while ago (but it is new to me).  After posting this I found out it is also by Kio Stark who seems equally rad and teaches at ITP.

It is beautiful.  Go there and read it.

Some of my favorites:

1.There are three states of being. Not knowing, action and completion.
8. Laugh at perfection. It’s boring and keeps you from being done.
9. People without dirty hands are wrong. Doing something makes you right.
10. Failure counts as done. So do mistakes.

Check it out here.

Andrew, this is Bre and Kio Stark’s work (http://kiostark.com/, I tweeted this at you too).

It was nice to see the CoD pop up again on Maria Popova’s blog (http://www.brainpickings.org/index.php/2011/04/08/five-manifestos-for-life/) a few days ago.

    Attribution matters!
