Seeing Is Believing

Musically the last two weeks have been amazing for me.  I was able to see Cold War Kids, Silversun Pickups, Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah, Ratatat and Rage Against the Machine.

RATM broke up when I was in High School, and I thought I would never be able to see them live.  Last year they started getting back together.  During the DNC, they played a free show hosted by the Iraq Veterans Against the War.  The lead a peaceful protest after the show.  Amazing actions, amazing show, amazing crowd.  Compare that to the RNC version of their show where the police shut them down. The Denver Police actually had a sign on the back of a truck leading the protest group saying ‘Welcome to Denver, Follow Us.’

Here is a video from the first song RATM played:

And yes, this post was just an excuse to post that video.

it was with a canon powershot, and a steadycam would have been destroyed by the pit.

Music is good. I am really stoked about the http://www.myspace.com/therealhallucinogen“target=”_blank”>Hallucinogen / Shpongle afterparty at the Gothic on Friday night… it is seriously potent, mind-melting, cutting-edge underground electronia.. very rare to see in a place like Colorado! The place is going to blow up from 1 to 5 AM like a hydrogen bomb…
