So SXSW is over and I have many posts to post. One of the more interesting things I saw was Gary Vaynerchuck’s ‘Secret Wine Party.’ At midnight he posted to twitter the location of the party. Here is what the club looked like when he did it:

About a minute later 20 of us went downstairs to get all the wine up to the bar from a waiting car.
Then people started coming in. Within 10 minutes, the line was down the block:
Gary and his crew started opening the wine and the crowds posted about the location and enjoying the fine wine.
Some dancers started and it was a very typical club like scene.
At this point I was drinking Bordeaux out of a plastic cup. Gary and AJ were running around the room saying hi to all the friends. Many cups of Bordeaux in fact.
The best ‘performance art’ of the night was a guy checking his email on the dancer stage (who was taking a break).
Tech geek party in full swing, and unlike past years, this SXSW was much less of a networkathon and had some actual party.
An half after the first post about the location of the party it was at capacity.
What is there to learn from this? Gary is a beast. Don’t know if you will find a man with more hustle loving his community so much.
