Digg is pretty hot on the web right now, with one of my favorite looks an UI. So what happens when Yahoo creates a site that is strikingly similar and brags about it? A new type of flash mob is what happens.

So what happens when online communities get together to rally around a company or brand? Can you imagine if it was Google users vs. Yahoo blog? Or O’Reily book readers vs. Rockport’s product review guide? An interesting idea to push around. Are these groups the marketers dream, or worst nightmare?
