It is the fall, which brings Colorado a brilliant change of the seasons. The cool air from the mountains is now descending to the front range, making mornings chilly, coats relevant and the sting of the football season apparent to everyone. It also brings back TEDxBoulder. I’ve been heading up (with the brilliant George Morris) the all-volunteer, all-awesome TEDxBoulder committee. We have worked for months to bring a world-class event to Boulder.
We have done a *ton* of work but have deliberately not shared with you just what we’re doing to make this year special.

Ideas: They Are Worth Spreading
Part of the reason I love TED so much is because it takes you out of your comfort zone as an audience member. The speakers all have amazing stories from various backgrounds and disciplines.
Amazing Venue
When I first started organizing events, I got shut down by just about every venue I tried for. It takes a lot of experience and an amazing community to be able to book a place like Macky Auditorium. It is a big venue (big enough to hold our community, we hope!)
Pre And Post Show
A huge motivation for doing an event this size is strengthening the community. How do we connect big thinkers? Or, more importantly, how do we connect like-minded doers? How does our event spark conversation and action?
We have some plans and surprises planned for the event.
This is an extremely ambitious event (as one of the largest TEDx events in the world), and I want to thank everyone that has told a friend, helped out or purchased a ticket.
