So I never got into the whole online advertising world until about three months ago. I never thought I had enough traffic to make it worth my time (with any of the sites I manage). It turns out I have a few sites with a pagerank of 5 or higher. I thought that I should give it a go, and I am glad I did. I started out with Text Link Ads and AdSense, and the performance has been night and day. I didn’t know what to expect and thought everything was one in the same.
Bottom line is Text Link Ads pays out nine times as much as AdSense for me (both are located in the sidebar, with AdSense having the better position). Perhaps I am not optimizing the AdSense by putting it in my posts, but I am not optimizing the Text Link Ads either, and they are earning quite well.
A better user experience for the user of my sites is hands down Text Link Ads. I have a referral link here if you want to sign up and kick me some revenue.
