Filtrbox Hack (persistant search done right)

Filtrbox has been amazingly good recently, with almost real time twitter to email tracking.

Today, they found out a bit of a hack.  By listing from:twitterusername ‘searchterm’ you can get an email everytime someone says a term.  For instance, from:Southwestair ‘sale’ will send you an email every time there is a sale.  Pretty cool!

feedwhip.com provided this services (with updates highlighted). They were acquired by alerts.com a while back.

If you had a service like this from filterbox or someone else, you could put the fair policy URLs of all the airlines in your hotlist and stay on top of all of their policies.

version control on a lot of things would be useful.
