Snap Impact Launches!

I love a good story about community, and what just happened in Boulder is really quite special.

SnapImpactMy friends Rich and Dave decided that there should be a easier way to find local volunteering.  So they recruited friends and built it. Volunteering app, location based, pulling in feeds from organizations that don’t usually work together.

That is the change I love to see.

The team last night celebrated their app being approved to the app store (iTunes link).

It makes finding volunteering opportunities easy.  You can see it in action without the iphone on the sidebar of this blog, where volunteering opportunities near you (yes you) are listed.

Well done to the team!  This is huge! Community Foundation of Boulder County

They are a 501c3 via the Community Foundation of Boulder County.  It was built 100% by volunteers in Boulder, Colorado, for everyone to use.

So write a post about it, download the app, write a review in the app store and help them out!

Boulder, another reason to love you.

Here is the team having a beer last night to celebrate:

Hats off to the SnapImpact team. A more innovative volunteering app has been missing for a while. Installed and checking it out now!
