When A Dinner is More Than a Dinner

Lemon Tree RelumeTwitter has done some amazing things for me, but last night had to be one of the tops.

Rachel Ann, who I had never met, decided to throw a dinner party for Laura Fitton, who I had met during Startup Weekend Boston, through twitter.

Perhaps ‘dinner party’ doesn’t do this justice.  I think ‘dinner party by a foodie with a unique kitchen that was candlelit around a lemon tree table’ would be better.

Rachel has an amazing apartment in the Mission District of San Francisco, and opened it up for 12 friends.  She even made hand written menu’s.  That stretch of fine dining from a kitchen with some major character.

Stowe Boyd had a guitar out.  Tara Hunt had her camera taking some pictures.

All of us met through online means.  All had some pretty interesting stories.

I took a bunch of photos, the flickr set is here.

I want this to become a tradition for me, great food, friends, and stories in.

Reminded me of the Farm Dinner I have been hearing so much about.

More champagne!
